An easy homemade teriyaki sauce recipe made from pantry staples. This sauce is bold and thick and is huge as a marinade or as a sauce served with your most well-liked meats.

There are lots of things I never considered making before, turning moderately to the conveniently bottled versions. Salad dressings, mayonnaise, etc. Some of them I on the other hand buy bottled – mayonnaise – and merely a few I make from scratch at domestic – salad dressings. One of these condiments that I recently attempted to make from scratch was homemade Teriyaki sauce. It was so tremendous easy and steady, it made me wonder why I didn’t think to make it from scratch earlier!!

This homemade teriyaki sauce makes a thicker sauce that the bottled sauce, so it may well be steady served on major of something, but I used it as a marinade. I was going to use it on merely a few grilled kabobs, but ended up throwing it in with merely a few chook breasts, letting it marinade overnight, then grilling the chook. Along with the chook, my husband grilled merely a few brand new pineapple, which is my most well-liked way to eat pineapple! We also ate the chook with merely a few rice, and it was a delicious, filling dinner.

This homemade teriyaki sauce recipe only takes minutes to make, and tastes a lot better than the jarred sauce. This sauce is huge merely served as a sauce alongside your most well-liked meats as well as a marinade. I love that it is so versatile!

I think that I’ll be having more Asian inspired meals soon in order that that I can make this recipe again!

Serves: 1½ cups
Ingredients
1 cup water
5 tablespoons packed brown sugar
¼ cup soy sauce
1-2 tablespoons honey
1 large clove of garlic, finely minced
½ teaspoon ground ginger
2 tablespoons cornstarch
¼ cup cold water

Instructions
Combine the 1 cup water, brown sugar, soy sauce, honey, garlic and ginger in a medium saucepan and set over medium warm.
In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch with the ¼ cup water and whisk till dissolved. Add the cornstarch combo to the saucepan.
Heat the sauce till it thickens to your desired thickness. If the sauce becomes too thick, add more water to thin it out.
